How do I know my siding needs to be replaced?
You’ll know your siding needs replacing when you notice these signs:
- Damaged, warped or swollen boards and panels
- Peeling, cracking, faded or chipping paint
- The presence of mold, fungus or mildew
- Water or moisture damage
- Damage along interior walls
- Abnormally high energy bills and energy consumption
- Heightened symptoms in allergy or asthma sufferers (due to excess dust, pollen allergens, debris, mold or fungi)
How long do your installation services take?
Timelines vary depending on the size and accessibility of your property. Typically, an average siding installation job takes anywhere from 10-12 days.
When it comes to windows, once they’re ordered according to the unique measurements of your home, you can expect one window to take about an hour to install. The total timeline will vary depending on how many windows need to be installed and can range from 2-3 weeks. Replacements can take a little longer, ranging from 4-6 weeks.
How long do new windows last?
When your windows come from a reputable, industry-recognized manufacturer, are installed properly by professionals and you take care in maintaining them, they can last for years. Lifespan can depend on materials, insulation and weather conditions in your area.
Every window material has a different lifetime:
- Vinyl: 15-25 years
- Fibreglass: 30-50 years
- Wood: 40-60 years
How can I extend the life of my windows?
Your windows can last a lifetime when taken care of properly and consistently. Make sure to:
- Regularly clean glass, casings and surrounding walls to avoid jamming
- Inspect seasonally and look for signs of moisture buildup, mold, rust or rot
- Ensure a tight seal (a loose seal causes high bills, energy consumption and decreased comfort)
- Have them professionally repainted every 2-3 years
What methods of payment do you accept?
